In light of Islamic teachings, Muslim countries could be a model for global peace.

The Minister of Health and Medical Education stated: Islamic countries can be the model of global peace by adhering the Islamic principles.

According to the news headquarters of Islamic cultural capital-Mashhad 2017, Seyed Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi expressed on the opening ceremony of the cultural capital of the Islamic world-Mashhad 2017 event: in line with improving the culture of Islamic countries, which is crucial for interactions among nations, we also have to attempt to teach science, communication and experience exchange to our community.

According to Ghazizadeh, Iran has made good progress in science, especially medical science, in a way that its scientific development index has ranked 16th in the world. In addition, Iran has ranked first in terms of article subscription on international databases.

Ghazizadeh Hashemi emphasized the importance of wealth creation through science and knowledge, expressing: today, there are many powerful countries with much richer knowledge. The Minister of Health and Medical Education pointed out that relations among Islamic countries must be expanded, especially in order to exchange experiences and scientific findings, adding: in the light of unity and solidarity, Islamic countries will raise the flag of scientific and technological advances in different areas.

Ghazizadeh has mentioned that there should be relationship between Islamic countries and academic societies, so that everyone could take advantage of the capacity of Islamic scholars.

According to Ghazizadeh, we should properly use the capacity of this event. He also affirmed: religious tourism is one of the main branches of tourism. In this regard, Mashhad is one of the most popular religious places, which hosted more than 25 million pilgrims last year.

According to the Minister of Health and Medical Education, Mashhad is also famous for its medical tourists and a great number of people from neighboring countries visit this city for healthcare purposes.
