Javad Panahi is an international Quran reader of our country who under his
father’s recommendation stepped in the world of Quran. Despite his handicap, he
has passed four decades of his life with a consuming interest in Quran. He is
now participating in numerous Quranic sessions, and attending the Azan place of
Imam Reza holy shrine and charms the inner beings of pilgrims and people with
his dulcet Azan reciting every Wednesday night.
This international Quran reader was born in Noghan neighborhood, Hamam Bagh Alley in Mashhad in 1344. He got afflicted with poliomyelitis at the age of thirty and since then suffered from handicap. Under his parents’ exhortation, most particularly his father, Hojatoleslam Nosratollah Panahi Tousi, he started Quran reading through mimicking Egyptian readers tape, and then he embarked on reading in sessions and occasions.
Hojatoleslam Nosratollah Panahi Tousi used to hold the sessions of Quran reading long before the birth of Muhammad Javad from 1336 to 1339, but the sessions ceased to continue due to a shift in place. Long after, a group of 15 teacher members of Tabadokan region again commenced a Quranic reading gathering, entitled as “The Association of Lovers of Quran and Holy Prophet’s Descendants”, and invited him to participate for thriving their sessions. Hence, they perpetuated their Quranic sessions.
