Keeping order across the holy shrine is practiced by the collaboration of three units of the Disciplinary Office of Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.): disciplines of men porticos, disciplines of women porticos, and pilgrimage Prayer Reciters and Mourning Ceremony Holders section.
Disciplines of Men and Women Porticos: generally, disciplines of the porticos try to maintain a peaceful environment for pilgrimage. They prevent any unusual action that disturbs the peaceful environment of the holy shrine; they guide and direct those pilgrims who have problems, monitor the crowded passways, and protect the properties of the holy shrine.
If confronted with any vagrants or runaway, wandering, insane and disturbing individuals in the porticos and the holy shrine, they deliver such people to related authorities located in the domain of sacred premises.
Also during special ceremonies such as religious feasts, mourning occasions, or dusting (Ghubar Rubi), they try to keep the order of the holy shrine, and scent the space with pure rose water. Men Disciplines also is in charge of cleaning, checking the illumination and carpets, etc, during dusting (Ghubar Rubi) ceremony and in times when special home or foreign guests attend the holy shrine.
Organizing Pilgrimage Prayer Reciters and Mourning Ceremony Holders: designation of the time and location for reciters and ceremony holders to recite pilgrimage prayer, inviting people to recite pilgrimage prayer, and holding certain classes for raising the scientific level of reciteras pilgrimage prayers and ceremony holders are some of activities performed by this unit.
